This notice explains in brief how personal data provided through the website is handled, in line with applicable law, including the GDPR and Israeli privacy regulations.

Data controller: Dr. Dan Confino, educational psychologist. For any privacy-related questions, you can contact: contact@danconfino.com.

Categories of data collected: Information you voluntarily provide via the contact form (name, phone number, and the content of your message), and basic information generated when you use third-party services (for example, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, or your email provider).

Purposes and legal basis: Your data is used to respond to your inquiry, schedule an appointment, and maintain ongoing communication. The legal bases are performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and your freely given consent when you choose to submit your details (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Sharing with third parties: Services such as email providers, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and hosting providers may process your data as independent controllers under their own terms of use and privacy policies, and may be located outside Israel/the EU.

Retention: Personal data is kept for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with ethical and professional record-keeping duties, and meet legal obligations. Afterwards it is deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.

Your rights: Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, to object to processing, and to request data portability. Requests can be sent to the email address above. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

Cookies and third-party services: The site itself does not use cookies for marketing or behavioural analytics. When you use third-party services (such as following links to WhatsApp or LinkedIn), those providers may use cookies and tracking technologies. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

Voluntary provision of data: You are not legally required to provide personal data. However, without basic contact details it may not be possible to respond to your inquiry or provide services.
